Gene Grant is the Chief Program and Policy Officer for Animal Protection New Mexico, where he oversees three issue areas; dissection choice for New Mexico students who choose not to dissect animals in classrooms, the reduction and eventual elimination of using animals in New Mexican research labs and third, fighting for the release of the 26 remaining chimpanzees at the Alamogordo Primate Facility on Holloman Air Force Base.

Grant previously was the host of, “The Line,” on New Mexico in Focus from KNME/PBS.
