Program & Grants Specialist

Title: Program & Grants Specialist

Primary Responsibilities:

This dynamic position will work with JA of NM's Program Director to coordinate program activity, including but not limited to, class/educator confirmations; volunteer confirmations; volunteer/educator introductions and matches; stewardship communication; assist with program and volunteer registration, volunteer/educator biographies, standards forms, and evaluation forms for all programs.

Work closely with the JA of NM's President to maintain and track the JA of NM Grants Calendar, maintain listings of user names, passwords and application portals for grant application; and draft proposals to funding entities.

Also, work with the JA of NM team to staff events to assist with logistics of volunteer and educator events, inform volunteers, teachers, school administrators, and business executives of events and attend and coordinate events that may fall out of normal office hours.

Qualifications (desired)

High school diploma or equivalent and three years of related experience required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Volunteer coordination experience preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills; interpersonal skills; organization and planning skills; and evidence of problem solving and creative ability. Can function effectively under pressure.
